I generally don't drink smoothies as much in the colder months. But sometimes our bodies just call out for a little extra dose of fresh-from-the-source vitamins.

This smoothie is sweet, fresh, and zingy. And although it is cold, the fresh ginger will warm you right up. Ginger may also provide immune support, work as anti-inflammatory, and help with digestion. The berries and citrus provide vitamin C, which has also been shown to help boost the immune system. And fresh parsley is one of the best germ-fighters around. Known for it's immune-enhancing properties, this herb has both anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. It's also packed with many nutrients, including vitamins A, C, K and iron and folate.

So whether you feel a cold coming on, are trying to kick a cold, or just want to stay healthy, give this smoothie a try.
